Cannabis Recipes To Make Your Game Day Spread A Total Touchdown

Ah, football! What a great American pastime. Bring on the hot wings, big foam fingers, and…cannabis?

Why not? More and more, people are discovering how great cannabis can be for celebrating just about anything, including sporting events. There’s the obvious benefit of no hangover (yay!), plus wellness perks like stress and anxiety reduction and improved sleep.(1)

And with hemp-derived products like CBD and delta-8 being legal, you won’t have any problem getting your hands on them.

Suffice it to say, nowadays, there’s a good chance you might have a friend (or be the friend) who prefers a CBD mocktail over ice-cold cans of lager while watching two teams duke it out on the field.

If you’re eager to accommodate the cannabis enthusiasts at your game day party, look no further! We’re cheering on three CBD recipes — and throwing in a little something extra and effortless with a little more oomphf.

And for those who are new to this cannabis entertaining thing, we have some tips for you to keep everyone safe and satisfied.

Avoiding Cannabis Party Fouls

Time out! Let’s talk dos and don’ts before we kick this thing off.

Hosting a party for the big game can be a privilege, but it’s also a responsibility. You’ve gotta make sure everyone in attendance has something to nibble and sip on and keep the vibe high.

If the menu includes CBD, delta-8, or marijuana, here are the often unspoken — but super important — rules of engagement for hosts.

  • Know what you’re serving so you and your guests know what you’re getting into. For instance, you should know that delta-8-THC (aka D8) does cause a high and does not mix with driving.
  • Note the dosage guidelines for each product and calculate how much is going into each thing you’re making. We did all this work for you in these recipes. You’re welcome!
  • Buffet style is a big thing for the big game. If you’re going with a help-yourself spread, make sure all your cannabis-infused offerings are clearly labeled to avoid accidental consumption.
  • On that note, make sure kids and pets don’t have access to the goods — unless, of course, you’re giving your fur child some CBD for pets, which might be a good idea if they’re on edge from all the ruckus.(2)
  • Leftovers? Lucky you! Store them as you would any regular foodstuffs (like in an airtight container), but pop a label on there with the date and CBD contents.

3 Fumble-Free CBD Recipes For The Big Game

Whether you’re creating a whole cannabis spread or bringing in some relief players, these recipes will help you get your game day party started!

CBD Jello Shots

Yes, we said Jello shots! They’re fun, they’re fruity, and they’re sure to be a crowd pleaser. We recommend using water-soluble CBD to make sure everything fully incorporates and firms up. Flavored nano CBD drops make them even better by infusing extra fruit flavor.

You can even make them match your game day theme by choosing Jello flavors that match your team colors!

This just might be your new favorite way to party with cannabis.

Makes 12 servings with half a dose of CBD per shot

Ingredients

Directions

  • Boil the water. Combine with the powdered gelatin in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir for two minutes or until all of the powder is completely dissolved.
  • Mix in the cold water and CBD tincture.
  • Divide between 12 shot glasses and refrigerate until firm.

Game day tip: Break these out at halftime or when your team scores to celebrate!

Mediterranean Meatballs With Citrus CBD Yogurt Sauce (Gluten Free)

The meatball is a highly underrated appetizer, especially when you need protein to fuel your cheering and heckling stamina. This recipe keeps it simple yet flavorful, combining herbs, spices, and garlic. It’s finished off with a tangy and bright CBD-infused yogurt sauce. Seriously, these will take your tastebuds into the endzone for sure.

Makes six servings with 1 dose of CBD per serving of sauce

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp salt (or more to taste)

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, grated or finely minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh
  • 6 droppersful Nano CBD Broad Spectrum Oil - Orange
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. To a large bowl, add all of the meatball ingredients and mix to combine. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs, placing them on a baking sheet. You should have around 20 meatballs.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • While the meatballs are baking, combine all of the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate until serving.
  • When the meatballs are finished baking, remove them from the oven and arrange them on a serving platter. (Extra credit if you arrange them in the shape of a football!)
  • Serve with the dip on the side.

Not-Baked Chocolate CBD Peanut Butter Bars

When you need a time out to satisfy your sweet tooth, these no-bake bars will do just the trick!

While you can’t do much better than the classic choco-PB flavor combo, we think vanilla CBD oil takes them to a new level — without getting you baked like certain cannabis-infused chocolate desserts.

Recipe adapted from No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars from Sally’s Baking Recipes.(3)

Makes 12 servings with 1 dose of CBD per serving

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter or virgin coconut oil, melted
  • 8 graham crackers
  • 2 cups confectioner’s sugar

  • Serve chilled.

BONUS: Cannabis Gummy Starting Lineup

Sometimes you don’t feel like going all out in the kitchen while everyone else is in the living room having a blast. If you relate to that situation, allow us to introduce you to our wide variety of CBD gummies and delta-8 gummies! All you have to do is choose your lineup, pop open the container, and let everyone pick their favorite flavor.

  • Our vegan CBD gummies are packed with full- or broad-spectrum CBD. You can choose from a variety of fruit flavors including watermelon and elderberry.
  • For team delta-8 gummies, you’ll find even more flavors to choose from. They’re all vegan, too! And in case you missed it, these do have psychoactive effects.

Both are nano-optimized, meaning the CBD or delta-8-THC particles have been transformed into smaller particles. This makes them easier for your body to absorb. More absorbability means better results (aka a win for you).

When setting up your gummy lineup, we recommend leaving the gummies in the original packaging so these fruity gems don’t get mixed up with candy or other non-infused things. It also gives your fellow sports fans a chance to scope out the stats and facts on the label.
